Rotary Dragster going for World Title

Jon Bates just about has his new and improved Rotary dragster, which runs the Vi-PEC i88, back on the track this year and going for more records.

This dragster is well known in New Zealand as two seasons ago it was the fastest rotary in New Zealand. With all the recent upgrades, Jon is going to have a go at the all out world record.

The engine is running billet alloy rotors and billet alloy housings.  The other upgrades from when the dragster was last run are, New Precision promod 94 turbo and a new Reid racing transmission and now the Vi-PEC i88 ECU and knock sensor with plug and shielded cable.

The car was on show at the Big Boys Toys in Auckland on 7-9 November, 2014.
